We believe in supporting our communities.
Our commitment at Boneset is to continue to listen and learn to be anti-racist, to support our trans and queer friends, and to reduce our environmental impact. While we strive to educate ourselves, we also believe in providing financial assistance to the organizations that are leading our communities. Since 2020, we have donated a portion of sales to two separate charities each year. For 2022, we will be donating $5 from every sale to the organizations below.
World Central Kitchen
"WCK is first to the frontlines, providing meals in response to humanitarian, climate, and community crises. We build resilient food systems with locally led solutions."
Supporting Our Youth
"SOY is an innovative community development program of Sherbourne Health. SOY works to support the health and well-being of all queer and trans spectrum youth 29 years old and under through our groups, programs and events and by providing one-on-one support."
Sustainability & Ethical Practices
At Boneset, we’ve made a commitment to continually improving the environmental impact of our business. Based on a made-to-order model, we reduce waste by only purchasing and making what we need.
We are taking a stand to refuse to purchase any new polyester materials, as these will ultimately end up in landfill without degrading. We source dead-stock or vintage fabrics as often as possible in order to use existing materials and not new ones (although some of these fabrics may contain synthetics that we may not be able to confirm). When we do purchase new materials, these are always all natural fibers only.
We take pride in being a Made In Canada brand, using fair labour practices for all of our production. Everything is made in studio by Jade, Stefanie, Michelle, or by our dear friend Margaret who lives nearby. We ship our items using recycled materials whenever possible.
